Used to measure the degree of scattering of light produced by insoluble particulate matter suspended in water or transparent liquids, and to quantitatively characterize the content of these suspended particulate matter. 

The instrument can be used for turbidity determination of beer, rice wine and so on. It can also be applied to turbidity measurement in power plants, pure water plants, water plants, domestic sewage treatment plants, beverage plants, environmental protection agencies, industrial water, wine production and pharmaceutical industries, epidemic prevention departments, and hospitals.
